FunPlex & a night out

Last Sunday we took the kids to my work's family day at Fun Plex. It was only 105 degrees before humidity so at least we were comfortable. We dropped Hannah off at aunt Laurie's and she had a blast. She LOVES those little pots of lip gloss and even better if there is a princess on them. She also brought her princess PJ's to wear for the day since Olivia had the same ones. She told me that we need to get a new house like Laurie's because it has lip gloss! We then set off for Fun Plex. The boys wanted to ride the rides but after about an hour and a half of the heat we all headed for the lazy river to cool off. Will and dad went down the 10 story high water slide and lets just say that Will will not be trying that again next year. He was brave to try but it wasn't his favorite. We then headed back to the rides, had dinner and went home after almost 5 hours in the horrible heat. Will cried as we left because he wanted to go on just 1 more ride. Needless to say he did not get that last ride and was extremely tired. He was asleep right after we left the parking lot. I did not get any pictures because the camera was the last thing on my mind with it being 105 degrees.
On Saturday night, grandma and grandpa were nice enough to come over a watch the kids so we could have a night out. We have not been out by ourselves in about 6 months so it was nice to just sit at dinner and not be interrupted. We tried to see a movie but they had all started so I won't embarass us by telling you what time we arrived home. We at least tried to make sure the kids were in bed!
We are going to the zoo tomorrow. I wanted to take the kids one more time before Jack goes back to school. The summer has gone so fast. I really do not want to cold to come. I feel like it just warmed up finally!
On a side note...Will is really excited for his birthday coming up and guess what he asked me for..."Cereal Straws". He has been asking me for them every time we go to the store for the past 6 months. I tell him over and over again that I am not spending $4 on a wafer that slurps milk out of your cereal. That does not stop him from begging ever time he sees them! I am thinking I will have to break down and buy them for him in time for his birthday!
