Happy 1st Birthday Max

Enough of the pictures mom!

Max,

Today you turn ONE! The year has gone so fast. Your brothers and sister and more in love with you each day. They fight over you just as much today as the day we brought you home. We had a party for you yesterday and all of your family was there. You loved the balloons and cake but you were not interested in opening gifts. Don't worry though because Will took care of that for you.

I feel like just yesterday you were born. You are such a good and happy baby and have grown so fast. It is sad with each outfit you grow out of and each time I have to go up a diaper size. I already miss rocking you to sleep and you holding my fingers. We are thankful each day that you are big and healthy.

At ONE years old you:

Scoot on your butt but do not crawl

Yell really loud everywhere we go but not because you are mad ( Will says it is embarrassing!)

Do not like your forward facing car seat

LOVE grapes, carrots, peas, yogurt, milk, yogurt covered raisins and chocolate chip cookies

Go to bed easily

Have 6 teeth

Still take 3 bottles a day

Take a sippy cup but throw it on the floor when you are done

Hide food in the sides of your high chair and laugh about it

Love you pacifier (only a few weeks left for that!)

Wear size 4 diapers

Wear 3t tops and 18-24 month bottoms

Had your 1st haircut last week and I regret it. No more curls!

Had your 1st sucker during the haircut and I regret that too!

Bring me things that you know you should not have

Favorite toy is the Wii remotes, 2nd favorite is the tv remote

Do not like to shop

Went to the zoo for the 1st time today on your birthday. Jack, Will and Hannah said you look and move like the gorillas

Now have stranger anxiety and only go to people you know

Are suppose to go to "Moms Day Out" this Fall at Hannah's preschool but I don't know if I can leave you.

Smile a lot and have beautiful big eyes

Sounds like you say "dada" but I think you mean "mama"

The past year has gone quickly watching you grow. Although I want you to stay my baby forever, I know that before long you will be walking and saying mama! I hope you feel how much you are loved each and every day. You are the 1st person that Jack, Will and Hannah run to see in the morning and the only person that they do not fight with. They would do anything for you and to keep you safe. We are so lucky to have you and hope that each day we make decisions that will raise you to be a good and happy person.
