We went to Colorado last weekend for Darren's cousin's wedding and to visit his brother and their family. They kids were really excited to go and couldn't wait to stay in the hotel and swim. The ride out was not so bad and I slept half of the way!
We spent a day with Bill, Lana, Steve & Kristi and the boys and it was fun to be able to just hang out and have no where to run to. Braxton had his birthday party the day we left and looks more grown up each time we see him. Bryson is crawling all over the place and even climbing up stairs. I showed Max what a mobile baby looks like and he didn't see too motivated! Will and Hannah wanted to hold Bryson and all he wanted was his mom. Jack went to Bass Pro with Grandpa, Darren and Steve and on the way home, stopped at a skateboard park and was very impressed. I am not sure how I have NO pictures of all of the cousins together!
We all attended the rehearsal dinner on Friday night which was nice and then the wedding on Saturday afternoon. Hannah was in love once again with the bride and her dress and asked me over and over again why she couldn't be the flower girl. It is just hard to explain to a 4 year old. Will also want to be in the wedding and asked why he couldn't wear a tuxedo. I really wish my brother would get married so she could be in the wedding. When I asked Jeff if he could hurry it along, he told me that it was not about me! I need to find Hannah a cheap little fluffy white "wedding looking" dress to wear around. She keeps asking for one so she can look like the bride!
Jack, Will and Hannah danced at the reception and had a blast. They loved dancing with Grandma! Max on the other hand was not feeling too hot. On Sunday when we got home I took him to the DR and he had 2 ear infections. I felt bad that I waited that long to take him in. He probably had them since Friday.
Darren took Jack to a mountain when we had a couple of free hours and they hiked up it a little bit. Jack of course, being the collector of all things, brought back rocks for everyone. He also got to pet a Husky dog which was a huge highlight for him. He is so much like Darren it is amazing. He can't get enough of the outdoors and no matter how hot or cold, just loves being out there.
The ride home was long but not manageable. Everyone went to bed very early and was ready for school on Monday.
