Pete Force Basketball Season

2nd Place Medals!

Jack finished out his season of basketball with a banquet on Sunday. They handed out awards and Jack was voted by his players as "Most Improved". It was a tough season but Jack seemed to have fun. We are proud of him for sticking with it and trying his hardest!

Crazy Hair Day, Readers Theatre & Flat Stanley

Hannah had crazy hair day and decided that she wanted 5 pony tails and 3 different colors of hair spray.

Parents were invited to Will's classroom to view the kids "state slideshows" and listen to them read the stories that they wrote. Will was very proud to show Darren and I his hard work!

In first grade the kids participate in the "Flat Stanley" project. They each choose a person in a different state/country to send their "Flat Stanley" to that they create. Hannah chose to send hers to Grandpa in Arizona. He of course returned it very promptly with 5 pages of written text and a book full of pictures to represent all of the excursions that they went on together. The idea is to give kids an idea of what other states "look like". Hannah was so proud and has looked at the photo album daily since she brought it home!

Will - Basketball Winter 2013

Will finished his basketball season and had a lot of fun. The boys made a great team and had a great coach! Will started wearing "rec specs" when playing sports and now he never leaves home without them.

Children's Museum

I took Max to the Children's Museum last week when we had no plans for the day. Since he only takes a couple of naps a week now, a day can get long with just me for entertainment! Max instantly found 3 boys a little older  than him and played "fireman" for an hour. He was so happy and never wanted to leave. We ate upstairs and then he begged me to let him ride the carousel.  I gave in when he asked me if he could go ask another mom sitting up there for $2 to get a ticket. We had a great day together!
