Funny Things Max Says

"Mom, really, you make me eat that?"

"Mom, those kids in my class wear weird shoes. I don't know where they got those weird shoes."

"Poopy on you"

"Mom, are you mean?"

"Mom, what is your name? Not your mom name."

"Mom, your hair does not look pretty today at all."

"Mom, could you please plug my pumpkin pie in?"

"Mom, you a girl?"

Any time that someone is about to do something that Max knows is wrong he announces "mom be so mad!"

Hannah at 7

Hannah B,

Wow, where to begin with a beautiful daughter who has brought us so much more joy than we could have ever imagined! As you and I were looking though old pictures today, it really hit me that you have gone from a baby to seven years old so fast.  We looked at pictures of you with all of your pretty dresses, bows, tutus, pony tails, glitter, and sass. While I miss those days, I realize that they are not gone, but now just a seven year old version. You pick your clothes, your hairstyle, your favorite colors and what you will try.

You are turning into such a strong, independent little girl and that is what your dad and I really want for you. You surprise us every day with the decisions you make. You are bold and brave and so full of life. You are very caring and do not like to see anyone (especially Max) upset. You will do whatever it takes to make him laugh. The thing that I love most about you is that you are so nurturing and that you love to be a mom to your dolls and to Max. You often talk about being a mom someday and I can picture how much love you will have for your own children.

You still dance and over the summer tried softball. I recently asked you if you wanted to sign up for softball again and you said "not if they are going to throw the ball at me." I guess softball is out! You remind me often that you are not "sporty".

You love school and always try your hardest. You are a good friend to everyone and spend a lot of time at the table in your room doing art projects.

You are everything I imagined having a daughter would be but so much more. There are so many dreams I have for you and so many special times I can't wait to experience with you. We hope you will always remember what is important and continue to love your brothers as much as they adore you.
You are so loved!
Happy 7th Birthday!

Christmas Day

On Christmas morning the kids woke up at 6:45. Hannah and Jack would have slept longer but Will had already been up 3 times and was not going back to sleep! Favorite gifts: Jack - Beats, Will - Ninjago, Hannah - American Girl crib, Max - Batman Car (Pez reindeer candy dispenser).

We went over to Grandma Gail's for lunch and spent some time with Livvy, Claire and Jeff. We spent the rest of the day at home putting things together! I did not get a nap in but did get to bed earlier than normal!

Christmas Eve

Before Church

Saying goodbye to Rex - our Elf on the Shelf!

We went to mass on Christmas eve with Darren's family and then celebrated the Brewer Christmas. The kids had a ball with Braxton and Bryson and I think they wore them out with the amount of chasing they did. We opened gifts, ate a lot and headed home to put cookies out for Santa. Hannah sprinkled the glitter/oatmeal on the lawn this year and Will slept upstairs with Max. They were all so excited but fell asleep quickly! Will woke me up at 1:30am, 3:30 and 6:30 asking if it was time to go down and see if Santa came!

Gingerbread Houses

The kids made gingerbread houses with Livvy & Claire and then opened gifts from Grandpa Jim a couple of days before Christmas. Max was really excited to see why we had out all of the frosting and candy. He kept asking "I eat this momma?" with each piece he put on his house. They were all really proud of their final masterpieces.
