Niobrara

Instead of going to Gretna Days this year, we decided to head to Niobrara for Darren's Grandma's 98th birthday weekend. The Gratopp's met us there and the kids were excited to have Emma and Gage to play with. It was 110 degrees so we went to the pool both days.

Great Grandma was surprised and excited to see us. We did not tell her we were coming and she couldn't believe how much the kids have grown. We ate lunch at her house one day and enjoyed her birthday dinner at the local cafe another evening. All that Jack, Will and Gage wanted to do was fish even though it was 1 million degrees out. They caught quite a few so that was incentive for them to go back. Tracy, Hannah, Emma and I hung out at the campsite while Max took naps. It is hard for me to sit around and do nothing but it was nice to be able to read some magazines that have been sitting in the kitchen for weeks!

It was so hot that I did not take many photos and the ones I did take, the kids were not too interested in looking! I think that Adela had a great birthday. Lana and Verna also drove up to take her for a drive for the day on Sunday. She looked great and she even had some tomatoes, asparagus, grapes, and cucumbers starting to grow.
