Max on the Move!

Max has decided that he no longer wants to be held and that he is capable of moving! He now drags himself around on his butt and it is pretty funny. He can go anywhere and he can do it quickly. Jack has now named him "Sit-N-Spin" which is very accurate! We have to keep his left leg covered at all times since he drags it and it is getting rug burn. His new favorite toys is the remote control and he can hold on to it while he moves. He also likes the blinds, my low hanging frames and any cords he can find. Toys are no longer of any interest. Max can also lift off every air/heating vent and remove any door stopper in the house. He has not gone after the stairs yet but I am sure that is next.

Creighton basketball Camp

Jack went to the Creighton Basketball camp last week for 3 full days. He was nervous at first but had a great time. He went with 3 boys from his class which helped. Jack was really impressed with the large college campus and all of the buildings. The kids ate where the college kids eat and he talked non-stop how he was able to pick from tons of different food, drinks and ice cream. He said he went back 10 times!

They divided the boys into teams of 6 and each team's "coach" was one of the Creighton basketball players or coaches. On Wednesday, parents were invited for the awards ceremony and the boys were given basketballs that they could have the players and coaches sign. It was really impressive and I think he learned a few things. If nothing else, he had a lot of fun!

The Flu ect..

Are there any more of those?

Look at those teeth!
Chocolate!
Check out his curls!

We came home from the pool last night and Will did not feel good. I thought it was because he was hungry. He laid on the couch and then I went to check on him and found him in his bed. He sat up, looked white and I ran, carrying him to the bathroom. I think he filled half a bucket. He vomited for a good 5 hours and woke me up about 3am asking for a drink. I gave him a little Sprite and he kept it down. He missed the last day of vacation bible school and spent most of the day sleeping when we were home. We also had 2 doctor appts for jack so I drug him to those. At the last one he laid up on the exam table and was almost asleep. We came home and I put him right to bed about 6pm. He is still sleeping. Hopefully this will stay isolated to him. I felt really bad for him last night but he didn't complain once.

While Will was taking up the bathroom I decided to give little max a bath in the kitchen sink. He didn't know what to grab 1st. He was a mad man. I couldn't even get him to look at the camera he was so busy looking for something to destroy. There was water everywhere!

Today Jack asked me for the bag of plastic cups up in the cupboard. I gave them to him and a while later he told me to come up to his room and bring my camera. This is what I found! He did such a great job and actually had a lot of patience getting it all to work together. I was proud of him for finding something to do by himself and up in his room!

Max had his 1st chocolate chip cookie tonight. As you can see, he wasted no time digging in! I will probably regret it when is see his diaper somtime tomorrow!

Hannah & Will

Hannah and Will decided that while Jack was at a friend's sleepover a couple of weeks ago, that they were going to have their own sleepover. They decided that they were going to both sleep in Will's bed. I told them they could have some time to fall asleep but if they couldn't get to sleep together, that they would have to go to their own beds. I checked on them about 30 minutes later and they were sound asleep.

Today at their 1st day of vacation bible school, I had requested that Will and Hannah be in the same "crew" since they wanted to be together and they are close in age. Will told me that their crew leaders asked him if Hannah and him were twins and he told them "no", but told them that he had a brother Max and they were twins!

I asked him if he knew what twins were and he said yes "twins, wear the same clothes, play together and share a room." Max and Will have a couple of spiderman/batman shirts that are the same and the plan is to possibly have them share a room in the future so Will decided that they were twins!

I explained to him that twins are born on the same day and are the exact same age. I don't think he was really listening at that point so who knows if he understood. Those crew leaders are probably thoroughly confused!

It is finally warm out and the kids want to swim every day. Will went to a camp at Chalco this week where they had a different theme every day. They made bird houses, toad houses, beeswax candles, and numerous other things each day. He had a great time coming home full of paint and dirt each day!

Hannah went to Vacation Bible school at her preschool and also had fun. They had a performance night on Thursday and I was not going to take her but she really insisted that she needed to be there so we went. They sang a couple of songs and then had cookies.

Last night Jack had his friend birthday party and Darren, Max and I took him and 2 friends to the Mahoney State park water park. Will and Hannah went to Laurie's house for a slumber party. The boys loved the wave pool and the diving board. We came home once it closed and 2 more boys came over to spend the night. The 5 of them played the Wii, ran around and ate a lot. Darren had them go to bed at a decent hour and they did not get up until after 8am! Max was even up an hour before them. They requested chocolate chip pancakes and doughnuts. After breakfast, Darren gave them rides on the 4-wheeler pulling the BMX ramp upside down. They thought it was great! I think jack had a great time and always enjoys time with his friends. I don't think he said "I am bored" for a full 12 hours!

This week all 3 have Vacation Bible School so it will just be Max and I for a couple of hours in the morning. Jack also has a football camp, Will has t-ball, and there are doctor and dentist appointments mixed in there.

Happy 9th Birthday Jack!

I am not going to smile..
I am trying really hard not to smile...

I have to smile a little...
Maybe I will close my eyes...
A classic look from Jack! Look at those eyelashes!

Over the weekend our baby Jack turned 9!

It is hard to believe how much time has passed. In 9 years you have enjoyed so much. You love to be outside with dad, ride 4-wheelers, eat, get dirty, play basketball, play football, collect anything and everything, read, go camping, swim, shoot guns with dad, sleep, laugh, be kissed by mom, wrestle, spend time with grandmas, watch movies, go to the cabin, and be tucked in at night. You are a great eater, love being with your friends, like to stay up late, love talking cars with dad and ask me for a cell phone daily. You do not like to have your picture taken and luckly I took the above pictures while you were buckled in your seatbelt while dad was driving. You could not escape me!!

We are so proud of everything you have accomplished and tried. You want to be a vet when you get older and have a love for animals. You really want a Husky dog and want to go to Alaska to see the ididarod race. You love cats but know that we cannot have one and Avery is very special to you.
We love you so much!

On the last day of school we headed to Niobrara to camp and see Great Grandma. She has never seen Max so we were excited to finally be able to make the trip. We arrived and found out that all of the campsites were reserved and so we ended up having the rent a cabin. The boys fished and Will and Jack both caught one. Hannah hung out with me and Max took a nap at Great Grandma's house and scooted himself off of the bed and onto the floor. Luckily, the bed was low to the ground! Darren and the kids made smores on the grill since no campfires were allowed outside of the cabins. None of the kids would eat the marshmallows but they sure enjoyed burning them. The kids rode bikes and scooters and wanted to stay for days.

We returned 1 day early due to the "no campsites/cabin situation". I took Will in to the Dr's on Memorial day to get medicine for an ear infection and then to the cemetery. Will has always been very interested in cemeteries and heaven. I think mainly because of Sam and Shelby dying. We picked up flowers to put on Great Grandma & Grandpa Villotta's grave and then we talked about what we would see. Will was in awe at all of the flowers and people. He asked a lot if there were babies and kids buried in the cemetery and where that part was. I did not take him because I did not want him to think that kids die all of the time. When he gets a little older he will understand more. He placed the flags on the grave and then we said a prayer. We walked around a little and he asked me if we could come back every day. I told him we could come back but not every day. It is nice to be able to really show him 1st hand what a certain holiday is all about instead of just the fun things that go along with it. Next year I would like all of us to go.
