It was a very busy week around here last week with 3 Halloween parties, trunk or treat at church Halloween on Saturday. I thought it was a good idea to sign up to bring treats for Jack, Will and Hannah's Halloween parties at school since I could just make the same thing 3 times but it turned out to be a little more work than I had imagined. I was also a room mom for Jack so that involved planning the party too! I love making things for the kids classes on holidays but it always comes down to the night before so I was a little short on sleep last week.

Jack was a football player, Will was going to be Optimus Prime but switched to Spiderman, Hannah was Snow White and Max was a pea in the pod. After a full week of cold, muddy rain, Halloween turned out to be a perfect night. We headed over to a neighborhood in Gretna full of friends for Jack and the kids had a lot of fun. Will was a little off with a stomach ache and barely trick or treated but Hannah would have stayed out all night. Anything for candy. Jack ran the streets for almost 3 hours and might still be out if we didn't take him home!
Max was a trooper, slept a lot and did not cry at all. He was all bundled up and seemed to enjoy the long stroller rides!
Hannah is excited that her birthday is the next big event. Hello Kitty everything this year!

KC Wedding & Hunting

Grandma, Hannah, Max and I headed to Kansas City last weekend for my cousin Amanda's wedding. Darren took Jack and Will to the cabin. The boys had fun and came back sick. Will missed 2 days of school and Jack missed 1 day. I do not have any pictures yet. I need to see if Darren took any.
Hannah had a great time at the wedding. She had never been to one before and when Amanda walked in the church with her dress, Hannah was in awe of her. She asked over and over if she could get a dress like that. Amanda looked beautiful and the wedding and reception were beautiful. It was great seeing everyone again and taking some group pictures requested by Theresa!

Hannah, Livvy and Claire danced the night away. Claire was hilarious and so adorable out there dancing. I was worried that she would be stepped on since she is so little!

I asked Jeff if he could hurry up and get married if for no other reason than to have Hannah be a flower girl. That would just the the highlight of her life! Jeff did not respond so I am not sure what that means.

Our happy Will!

Will turned 5 on October 1st and had a Batman Birthday. He had been looking forward to it for so long and had a blast.
Will is ...

Our strong-willed child that knows what he wants.
He is our sentimental, loving, caring and snugglie one
He is out thinker and always wants to learn new things
He loves his brothers and sister and is a great teacher
He loves his mom and wants to be just like his dad
He wants to work with Dad when he gets big or be a superhero
He loves superheros and really believes that they exist
He loves to dress up and build forts
He has an impressive imagination and makes friends easily

He is a leader and does well at making his own decisions
He will try almost anything
He will not eat fruits or vegetables unless they are carrots from Grandmas house
He LOVES doughnuts and could eat them for every meal
His favorite color is Blue

We are so proud of how much Will has grown and how much he loves each of us. He is still my baby and as I think about the last 5 years passing, he has grown so fast. I wish I could slow down time to make more memories with him while he is young.

As we rush around each day trying to get things done and get everybody where they need to be, I need to remember that life is short and it is playing Life ( Will's all time favorite game and the longest game ever made by the way) on the floor for 30 minutes or kissing him or making cookies together is what he will remember when he is 20. Happy Birthday Willy!
