Livvy and Hannah dressing up

My mom fell on some water in her kitchen LATE Sunday night and called Jeff to take her to the ER. She thought she broke her shoulder but it turns out she chipped it or something and I think it ripped a little. Her arm is black and blue, she also cut a big hole in her lip, bruised her eye and hurt her knee. She ended up landing on the wall paper remover machine that she rented earlier that day, then fell to the floor. She is off work for at least 2 weeks. I had Claire a lot this week since she cannot lift her or anything and the kids just love her so much. They also played with Livvy when she wasn't at school. Of course, mom is not taking it easy or anything so it will probably take it longer than 2 weeks to heal.

Will had is 2nd soccer game this week and scored another 2 goals. He scored 3 in his 1st game. He is really fun to watch. He really shouldn't have been playing with his cast but the kids are not very aggressive at 4 so we let him. They took his cast off yesterday and now he just has to wear a splint for 3 weeks to make sure he doesn't rebreak it. They told me if I show up at the orthopedic office again I will get a frequent visitor card!

Jack is excited for school to end so he can stay up late and hang out with dad at night. He will be bored by the 3rd day of summer though so we have some things planned. The kids are also excited to go camping. Mom doesn't get as excited about that since it is like packing a mini house in the motor home and then having 20 loads of laundry to do when we return but they really do love it.

The pictures are of Hannah and Will's tea party which are very frequent lately, Hannah and her sunglasses, Livvy and Hannah dressing up and Hannah's new strawberry PJ's.

Easter!

After Grandma's egg hunt
YEA! A Pink Egg!

A loving moment!

The "after church" picture that did not turn out as I had hoped.

Hannah's Easter basket
Jacks's Easter basket
Will's Easter Basket
Hannah inspecting the chocolate
It is 6am and the kids are waiting to fly down the steps to find eggs but Dad is letting the dog out!
Will, very proud after choosing each carrot very carefully
Hannah excited for morning
As the kids prepared for the Easter Bunny this year, Jack decided he was not going to help set out the carrots and milk....he was in the middle of a Wii game! Will and Hannah finally agreed on 3 carrots and a half glass of milk.
The next morning they decided to get up at 6am. I tried putting Will and Hannah back to bed by telling them it was still nighttime, but they saw the eggs and that was it.
Hannah was really funny this year. She had so much fun and would only pick up eggs that were pink or had a princess on them. She opened each one as she went saying "look more chocolate". Jack was interested in the money filled eggs and Hannah only cared about the chocolate. My how things change as they get older!
We went to church and posing the the church picture did not go very well as you can see. Jack was mad, Will would not take off his coat and Hannah was happy to smile.
We then went over to Grandma's house to have another Easter egg hunt. Each child was assigned a certain color of egg they could find so there would not be one person getting all of the eggs. Will had a meltdown that his color was not blue but Hannah had pink so all was well with the world for her. Jack was assigned green. Everyone had a great time and were in bed early including mom!

Jack's Fun Run & the Children's Museum

Last week Jack had his annual Fun Run at school. Each grade has a specific time that they walk over the the high school track and run/walk laps to earn the money that they were pledged by friends and family. The money then goes to the school. Will, Hannah and I headed over to watch and the kids had so much fun. Jack wanted to run the entire 30 minutes and he actually ran about 20 minutes of it. He ended up with 10 laps which was equal to 2 miles. Will ran 1 lap and decided that 1 lap was enough for him. Hannah of course did not stay far from me for fear she would get left behind.
Last Friday Jack was off school so I took the kids and Livvy to the Children's museum in Lincoln. We had not been there for at least a year so they were excited to go back. Everyone except Jack really enjoyed it. Jack is getting a little too old for it since the exhibits do not change and are geared towards younger kids. We will stick to the Omaha Museum for Jack since they cater to older ages. He made the best of it though and enjoyed the wildlife exhibit. Will's painted face is the Incredibles. It did nook a little better than it does in the picture but it was taken right before bath so the colors had worn off. I painted a lightning bolt on Jack and a butterfly on Olivia but forgot to get pictures. The butterfly was actually pretty good!

Annual Egg Dying

Hannah is very proud of the eggs!
Will being crazy!
Hannah loves to take pictures!
Jack's forced smile because I asked him to look up for me!
This picture was not planned. I can't remember what I would have said to get this reaction out off all 3 at the same time but it sure was funny!

Last weekend I boiled a couple of dozen eggs and poured the vinegar into multiple coffee cups. Hannah and Will could not get their hands on the little colored tablets fast enough. Jack was not as eager this year which made me sad that he might be growing out of a tradition. Hannah had no idea what we were doing but Will's excitement rubbed off on her and she caught on quickly. They dunked the eggs in each color as fast as they could not really heading my cautions to dip them in carefully so they do no break. I think we were done in record time. Jack didn't even hang around for a picture (I bribed him to come back for just one!)

"Jungle Juice" Green

Grandma stopped over to see Will and bring him a couple of gifts!
Will posing with the dear antlers that Darren brought home the other day.
Will's cast

A "get well" cookie given to Will by one of his friends.

We went to get Will's cast put on on Thursday and he went in there thinking he would get blue. After looking at the ring of color choices, there was only 1 blue and it looked grey so he decided on the green the nurse called "jungle juice green". He was very happy with his selection and sat quietly while they removed the blue splint and put on the cast. It did not take long and a few stickers later, we were out of there. He ran to the car, taking the long was so he could climb the rocks. I swear that child is going to give me a heart attack.

He told me after school on Friday that he was tired of people asking him how he broke his wrist. He said "I have to tell the story so many times and I am tired of it". It was really funny. We then went to dinner with friends tonight and both of them asked him how it happened. Darren and I just laughed and Will didn't respond.

I took Jack and Will to the library today and they could have stay there all day. Jack went straight for the animal books and Will headed over to the trucks and race car books. They also checked out some videos. Hannah stayed home to nap so Will picked out a few things for her. We will try to get to the library once a week once summer comes. It is a little more difficult during the school year.

Braxton came for a visit

Kristi and cousin Braxton flew in from Denver last week and we were able to spend a little time with them. Braxton is alomst 2 and I can't believe how much he can talk. He is also a busy little guy. Will and Hannah wanted to hold him but of course he wanted nothing to do with that. They still call him "baby Braxton". We are excited to meet his new brother coming in June and wish that they all lived closer. The pictures are of the kids playing in Grandpa Bill's boat.
Will's "Jungle Juice green" cast pictures coming this weekend!
