Another Year..Another Cast

But this time it is Will. I always thought he would be next, but I thought he would break something trying to fly off a chair like Spiderman or something. Instead he was at the Children's Museum and fell down the stairs breaking his wrist.
He had to get X-rays by himself since I could not go in the room with him since I am pregnant and he was so brave. He did not cry at all and did exactly what they told him. He is such a little trooper. They splinted it today and we go back tomorrow to get a cast put on. Hopefully they will not have to set it because I have learned from Hannah's break, that this is the painful part.
Will's main concern was how he was going to write, eat and play soccer. He has been looking forward to playing soccer for over a year now and is finally old enough. His first game is Monday and it looks like he will miss at least the first 4. He asked if he could go watch still which we will do.
Although everything will take a little longer now and involve more thought, I realize that another break is so minor compared to what some others kids suffer with daily. I am so thankful that our kids are healthy. It could always be so much worse.
Now, my goal for the summer is to keep everyone from jumping, falling, running or engaging in any other activity that might involve a trip to the ER!

Jack's last basketball game, warmer weather and flip flops

Jack had his last basketball game last weekend and they won! He was really excited and just as excited to get another medal. He is very proud of himself and really enjoys playing. He has spent a lot of time in the garage this winter shooting hoops into a Little Tikes basketball hoop that doesn't really accommodate a regulation basketball. We will be investing in a larger basketball hoop that can withstand the wind this summer since he enjoys it so much.

The weather has been great here over the last couple of days. The kids have been able to get out of the house and run and scream. They spend a lot of time on the trampoline. That poor thing is in need of some repairs. Hannah wears her snow white high heels outside to push around her bunny in the stroller. When I warn her that she may fall, she tells me that they are shoes and I told her to put on shoes! I guess she is correct! As you can see in the picture of Willy, he spent the evening playing basketball in the garage with his winter mittens and sunglasses on. He told me that his hands were cold and the sun was in his eyes (in the garage!) The picture of Jack was taken while he was laughing at Will's ensemble.
The picture of the flip flops is a funny story. I bought Will new flip flops last week and he was really excited because they were his favorite color. They were sitting in the dining room and I told him to go put them in the laundry room. He told me that he was going to find a special place for them. Later that afternoon I asked him what he did with his flip flops and he walked me to the china cabinet where I found his flip flops perched on the Waterford crystal cake plate!
